There’s a particular kind of calm that surrounds a wedding at Ridgewood Country Club. Tucked behind a quiet neighborhood in Paramus, NJ, it reveals itself slowly—measured, elegant, confident in its history. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need to announce itself.

The day began with a nuptial mass at Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Led by Fr. Bob, the ceremony was grounded and reverent, offering a stillness that set the tone for everything that followed. A moment to pause. To breathe. To take it all in before the celebration widened its scope.
Back at Ridgewood, the pace shifted—subtly at first, then all at once.
The day unfolded with an ease that comes only from careful planning and quiet competence. CBC EVENTS, led by Christine Figliuolo, orchestrated every transition with precision, ensuring that nothing ever felt rushed or over-managed. Guests moved effortlessly from one moment to the next, unaware of the invisible structure holding everything together.
Inside the club, the design leaned into texture and restraint. Florals by ANNA ROSE FLORALS softened the classic interiors—lush, organic arrangements that felt intentional rather than ornamental. They didn’t compete with the architecture; they complemented it.
One of the most striking elements in the room was the custom dance floor by SHOUT. More than décor, it anchored the ballroom, giving the space a tailored, editorial feel and signaling exactly where the energy of the night would collect.
And collect it did.
Music was clearly central to Erica and Charlie’s vision. 45 RIOTS took over the reception with a 12-piece ensemble that filled the room with sound—soulful, high-energy, and relentless in the best way. The dance floor stayed packed, the kind of scene where shoes come off quietly and nobody checks the time.
When the night refused to wind down, MEAN MACHINE carried the after-party forward, shifting the tone just enough to keep things electric. It was a perfect contrast—proof that tradition and edge don’t have to live in separate worlds.
Through it all, what stood out most was the balance. The architecture. The emotion. The noise. The quiet. Erica and Charlie managed to hold all of it at once—classic sophistication paired with genuine, unfiltered celebration.

Liberty Warehouse WEdding : Olivia & Daniel : Brooklyn, NY
Olivia & Daniel were wed in August at Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY overlooking the Statue of Liberty.
Most couples come to me looking for a similar type of thing: “candids” and a number of staged bride/groom photos and group shots that tend to range 1-3 hours. On this particular day, we spent 5 minutes total on family and bride & groom portraits. They wanted to be totally and completely present on their wedding day letting me drift around capturing their and their guests’ experience entirely in the moment. I was fortunate to have a particularly dynamic afternoon with interesting light and weather and a guest list that included an international crowd dressed for success. It was fun to allow things to unfold entirely as they happened.
Harold Pratt House Wedding : Claire & Alec : New York, NY
Claire & Alec were married at The Harold Pratt House on NYC’s Upper East Side off of Park Avenue in the Spring.
The Pratt House carries the atmosphere of an old New York social club, yet without any of the formality or fuss. No members to bump into, no chatter at the bar. Instead, it offers a kind of quiet, old-world charm and a protected, almost secret feel that makes it perfect for an intimate guest list.
From the moment guests arrived, the building set the tone. A sweeping staircase greeted them in the entryway, inviting everyone upward toward dinner and dancing. On this day, though, the ceremony unfolded on the ground floor — intimate and elegant — before cocktails were shared in the cozy library. Jane Lee of Poppy Flowers filled the rooms with her signature touch, florals that felt both refined and alive. Relish Catering paired it with a thoughtful, plant-based menu that kept the atmosphere relaxed and modern.
With Central Park just a few blocks away, slipping out for portraits along Fifth Avenue was a natural choice — a chance to bring a little of the city’s energy into the quiet magic of the day. Photographing Claire & Alec’s wedding felt like being invited into something rare: intimate, unhurried, and centered on the people who matter most.
TriBeCa Rooftop Wedding : Lisa & Mike : New York, NY

Some wedding days feel like love letters to New York City—and Lisa and Mike’s April celebration was just that. From moody cobblestone streets to a skyline sunset that stopped everyone in their tracks, their day was full of beauty, emotion, and that unexpected magic NYC sometimes hands you when you're paying attention.
The day began at the Beekman Hotel, where Lisa got ready surrounded by friends and family. She wore an elegant gown by Amsale and Loeffler Randall heels, her look brought to life by Styles on B and Facetime Beauty, who kept things chic and polished.
They were married at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on Barclay Street, the oldest Catholic parish in New York City, with a heartfelt ceremony led by Father Jarlath Quinn. Between showers, we made our way into TriBeCa and grabbed a window of dry weather for portraits on Desbrosses Street. The textures of the neighborhood—the brick, the cast iron, the wet cobblestones—gave us the kind of effortless New York backdrops that I love.
The reception took place at TriBeCa Rooftop, where 230 guests gathered to celebrate. Carrie Gold designed an evening that felt warm and modern. The space was brought to life with florals by Peonies to Paint Chips, elegant paper goods from Etched in Sloane, and soft, inviting lighting by AV Workshop.
During dinner, the sky shifted again. After a brief but dramatic downpour, the clouds broke open to reveal one of the most breathtaking views of the city we’ve seen. Everyone made their way to the rooftop—cocktails in hand—to take it in. The sky was glowing and we took the opportunity to take a few additional photos before the light slipped away.
As the sun went down, Starlight Music’s Rhythm Shop kept the energy going with a live set that packed the dance floor. There was no shortage of movement, hugs, or wild joyful energy—and Alex Hopkins captured it all in motion. It was the kind of night where the weather made the day more memorable, not less. A little imperfect, a little electric. Very New York.
Robert Wedding : Museum of Art & Design : New York, NY
Celia and RJ were married in Spring at Robert located in the Museum of Art & Design at Columbus Circle in Manhattan.
They both got ready on a drizzly spring morning at the iconic JW Marriott Essex House, with sweeping views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline below. Celia wore a beaded gown by Enaura, paired with sparkling Stuart Weitzman heels. Her classic updo and soft, glowing makeup by Willow House Beauty highlighted the timeless elegance of the day.
RJ kept things sharp and classic in a black tuxedo from Suit Supply, and the couple shared a quiet, intimate first look before heading out into Central Park. Even with the mist and soft rain, the cherry blossoms were blooming and the park felt alive with the rhythm of spring—an unforgettable backdrop for portraits that felt both cinematic and personal.
Their ceremony was held at Robert, the stunning restaurant perched at the top of the Museum of Arts and Design, overlooking Columbus Circle. With floral arrangements by Verde Flowers framing the space, Celia’s brother officiated a deeply personal ceremony filled with humor, emotion, and meaning. It was intimate, heartfelt, and exactly right.
Cocktail hour and the dinner reception at Robert were warm and stylish—panoramic views of the city, glowing candlelight, and a perfect playlist from DJ Xenia of Non-Traditional Wedding DJs that set the tone for a night of celebration. Guests mingled as the fog settled over Manhattan, the skyline twinkling just beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The evening ended with joyful dancing and a slice of cake from Ladybird Bakery, a sweet finish to a day filled with beauty, love, and just the right touch of city magic.
