New York City Wedding : Nursen & Vatan Şaşmaz
You hear from people all over the world being a photographer recommended by New York Magazine. One afternoon I got an email from Nursen, a bride engaged to the Turkish TV celebrity Vatan Şaşmaz here in New York. He is the Conan O'Brien of the Middle East. I was intrigued by their plans and was excited to move forward.I met with Nursen and Vatan at Robert DeNiro's swank Greenwich Hotel one Thursday afternoon. Up until this point all communication had been via email so I had no idea who to expect on the other side of the door. Vatan greeted me warmly with a glass of champagne. Still early and with my camera not even out of the bag I had to turn him down! What happened next was refreshing and inspiring. Helping each other get ready, I let the moments unfold naturally and I love how you get to know them as a result.Next we took the limousine to the Turkish Center for a quick ceremony. Stopping afterwards at Central Park, Turkish people ran up to the car demanding a photograph with Nursen and Vatan. We managed to take a couple pictures before they escaped to Per Se for a first class meal by Michelin Star chef Thomas Keller. Lifting Nursen with the Plaza Hotel in the background, I love the smile spread across Vatan's face.Best of all, I have a standing invitation to Istanbul! I hope you enjoy.Dress: White by Vera Wang

The Chart House Wedding : Meghan & Chris : Weehawken, NJ
I always enjoy returning to the NJ waterfront for weddings overlooking the New York City skyline. One great thing about the Chart House is its location at the end of a pier right across the river from the Empire State Building. Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood, NJ proved to be a spectacular setting as well -- check out the vantage point from which my colleague Matt Rainey was able to capture Meghan walking down the aisle!

Prospect Park Picnic House Wedding : Katie & John : Brooklyn, NY
Katie and John were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Oratory Church of St Boniface in Downtown Brooklyn. I loved the rays of light above them as they exchanged rings! After a quick trip we arrived at the beautiful Picnic House in Prospect Park which sits on the top of a hill for the reception. The Cleaver Company coordinated and catered the reception and Katie's beautiful bouquet was created by Poppies and Posies.
